San Sebastian \ Donostia
What a beautiful city no wonder it is so popular.
We stopped at a site that the web said was impossible to get in but we timed it as one van was leaving. Really complicated payment system in a machine but finally got there and then helped two others do it. Only €3:30 per night so cheap as.
We rode our bikes into the beach which was long curved and soft sand.
First stop after a beach stroll was the funicular up the hill , very old 1905 sort of thing.
Up the top was a great view and weirdly a little boat ride around the edge of the hill. We did the ride. Short and odd but felt a bit precarious.
Then drinks on the terrace chatting to two Aucklanders.... and back down again.
Bike ride to the old city and spent the later afternoon wandering the streets, visiting a museum and sitting in the sun.
Had some pinchos and wine then back home
