Paris

We headed into Paris today, a bus and a train but not too long. Met our Wellington friends who are in Paris for a month and went exploring.

Visited the flower market and enjoyed the lovely smells and flowers  after a coffee and a pastry.

Then walked to a war museum which was by Napoleons tomb, am huge church and massive marble tomb as per the photo. the photo of Napoleon depicts him before being sent to exile.

They also had a whole floor of enormous models of cities that they used to plan attacks. cant imaging how they got the detail with no planes, cameras or drones They must have had to walk every street and sketched every house and yard as the detail was amazing ( they had then and now photos to show how  accurate they were.

Huge statue of a Japanese designer

Ate, drank , walked 14km and generally had a lovely time on a sunny day.

  always good to know..

And today we loaded the van so my clothes are now in cupboards so much better than having a suitcase.
