We headed across to Hasting to meet the parents of Claire's fiance. We met them on the seafront where we left Reggie and went to a nice local pub for lunch. We got on really well they are a lovely couple and invited us to stay at their house for the night. We went and played games had a takeaway curry and then played more games until 12.45 .
Next day up and off to do final chores like collecting gas bottles and having lunch on a rocky beach in the sun.
We got the 5.00 ferry to Dieppe and spent the night there.

Next day up and off on the real holiday. We went to Chartres which has a huge cathedral with the most stained glass of any church in the world.
We met our friends from Wellington again, they had traveled there by train to have a shower as their apartment has not hot water.

Had a really nice tomato tatin with mozzarella . It was almost a disaster as Perry pointed out he thought that the waitress repeated back tartare ( raw mince! ) so I went and checked an I was down to get the raw meat...... aarrgghhh so thank goodness it got fixed.
Walked back to our camp along the river , a great place in fields but also the middle of the town
