It’s time to head off another adventure . On Tuesday we head to Singapore for three days then off to London and then Bath to collect Reggie. This year we plan to go To Germany ,Switzerland ,Austria ,France and the Netherlands. first suitcase pack done tomorrow I’ll revise it …..
In NZ it is the 19th August so happy birthday dad. We cycled to Mont st Michel this morning but the tide was still out so didnt take any more photos. 10km cycle ride later we filled the van with water and headed away. We are now in Bouzouges in a really nice spot with plants all around and only 3 of us here. We went for a walk about the town classes as a Petite ville de France which I guess means its a cute little village , and it is. We went to the information centre and a really helpful chap gave us guides for Brittany ( where are there now ) and a walking tour of the town. Which we did. amazing amount of public planting a rather nice painting putting all the oldest houses in the same street, there are tomatoes and aubergines growing in the garden rather odd things hanging on the side of the church quite an arty town the tour book said these are death masks of men executed in the town an interesting use of old drink bottles, each one has a plant in...
Hi all We are now ready to move. we had planned to settle here and buy a house but have now decided to retire in NZ in a couple of year but before then to do a lot more travel. On our last trip our car blew a head gasket on the autostrada in Italy and we had to scrap it over there, we have had no vehicle for 10 months but really haven't missed it. we commute on the train to work. and take a taxi home from the station if it rains. We have looked at a car staying in hotels, or using our tent or buying a campervan or a motorhome. We looked at every option and went to two camper/motorhome shows. what we found was that P is too tall to see out the windscreen and too long for the beds...... Until we came across the Hymer, the bed is always made up and drops down from above the drivers seats and the view from the windscreen is panoramic. It looks big but is only 6m long so the same as a long wheel base van and doesn't add extra cost for ferries and the chunnel. It had th...
