Kerurus, 10 Sept

We visited onion Johnnie's place today but didn't buy any onions.  Yes we visited Roskoff the port where the French farmers left from to go and sell onions and other vegetables to the English in the 19th Century.

you can buy a bunch of pink Roskoff onions for E3.50

almost looks balinese

odd chap with a pipe holding up the window frame

Incredibly long jetty to allow for the high tides

tiny chairs to sit on in the church really low to the ground, maybe you only kneel

nice to see the female saints looking so colourful

the church roof look like a boat even has a figurehead

then we headed off and finally settled on Kerurus beach for tonights stop. The tide was out and there was pure white fine sand and big rocks a great combination.

the sand is white and really fine.

seems to be a chap in my photo

we met a man digging in the sand and he tells us they are for fishing tomorrow
not a bad spot for the night

red sky at sunset

the tide has been coming in and now the rocks are covered but its pitch black ( although great star gazing) and all you can see are the light houses blinking.
