Cap Frehel, 3rd September

Left Dinan and headed for the coast. They light up the viaduct at night with green and purple lights it looked lovely.

We tried to have lunch buy the sea but every road and every car park said no Camping cars... not very friendly. Still we found a layby on the top of a beach and had our lunch in the sun .

We drove through Pen Guan but no Penguans there Shirl.

Got to Cap Frehal at about 2.30 and parked in the camp. It is really large and green and apparently closed... no loos or showers open but the power is on so we connected up.  It fits 150 and there are maybe 20 of us scattered about.

We got the bikes down and rode to the Cap and admired the pink granite cliffs and the light house.

lots of heather all part of the protected environment

a rather grand light house

odd colours the rock is pink and the lichen orange

apparently thousands of gannets nest here but we missed them just the poop left

Then biked to Chateau Latte. It is privately owned and they still lived in the big parts of the Chateau.

it was an up hill hike from here to the car park but for E1 the wee golf cart took you ( yes we did )

view from the tower

the big square building is the house that the family still use.
made of the pink granite looks quite soft....

We were amused to see that under the drawbridge was a collection of hats, I assume people looked down and their hats fell off....

When we got off our bikes P got out the camera took a picture and was greeted with a message saying it had no memory card.... oops he left it in his laptop. all the photos today are from my phone, but I think they came out all right.
