Gace. 1st August

the start of the French holidays so the beaches will fill up from now on.  We were talking to our neighbours tonight, a Uk couple, and they said the main road from Paris to the beaches was bumper to bumper. Might be a good thing we started early and stayed at some nice beach camps.  We are further inland tonight at Gace a very sleepy little town.

We started the day with a visit to the local market and bought some fresh fruit and vege then I managed to get my haircut asking for and then explaining what I wanted in my best school girl french, I’m really pleased to have it trimmed after no haircuts since February.

We visited a museum about life in France during the war saw a more civilian based view, and then visited William the Conquerers castle where they gave you an iPad to so 3D simulations when you were in each room.

Watched some people being little horses. They trotted and bolted and reared up. All very exciting....

We then drove though fields and valleys to Gace

must the quietest  the Saturday night ever, the streets are deserted at 9.30.

Tonight’s stopover

  1. Love the little horses! But your night's stop looks like a street?
