Fougeres day 2: 21 August

The day started with breakfast in the sun then we decided that the CC hand brake needed looking at so we took the van to a fiat dealer but he was busy till next Wednesday, the a truck garage but they couldn't do it, then a Euromart garage and the mechanic came out looked under over and around, tightening the hand brake said not to pay him, we tried to give him some beer money ( cash) but he wouldn't take it.  All the garages were within 1 km so it turned out to be easier than we expected.

Then the highlight of the day ( not ) we bought a hand held vacuum to try and get the sand out of the tiny spaces the brush wont reach.

how long till the battery stops and it doesn't suck anymore....

That was enough domestic activity so we walked into the centre of the town and checked out the old buildings, stopping at Cafe de Paris for an aperitif. We bought a backup Sim for our internet the sales man speaking his best english and us using microsoft translate. 20GB for E20 so very cheap.

We will go to the castle tomorrow, we didnt feel we had time to do it justice if we crammed it in this after noon.

Fougeres has been a nice place to visit P want to live here...

  1. Looks like a lovely place with those squares and historic buildings, not to mention friendly garage people and ability to buy little vacuums.
