15 July to Aarhus and then Legoland

We left the marina and headed to Aarhus  a bigger city and found a camp near the marina but free. There were 7 or do of us in a tree lined car park. We walked all around the city it was odd to have so many people about. There was a nice area along the canal that reminded me of the mail box in Birmingham

We headed back to reggie and then went for a walk around the marina, lots of restaurants and boats. For the first time ever they had block with toilet shower and sauna.... the sauna had a great view of a little beach and was available for the boaties and a motorhomers in the paying camp. ( we looked at the camp but the vans were tight among the boats in storage and the container port and trucks was right next door so it would be noisy in the morning

Today we drove to Billund the home of Legoland. We are staying in the grounds of a horse racing track, they have a field set aside for motorhomes and there are 10 of us with lots of room and some trees.  Over the back there were trotters doing their training.

We went for a stroll and came across Lalandia... we went in and it was really odd the roof was like a summer sky all blue with clouds so you felt like you were out doors.They had theme areas, italian with shops and a stage, a ski slope indoors, a bowling alley, mini golf, rock climbing, badminton and a huge indoor pool with a water slide.

Then we carried on to look at legoland, if you go at 7.30 then you get in free. You cant go on the rides but they are mostly for kids anyway. So we spent 2 hours wandering about and being amazed at what you can make with small plastic bricks.

It is four years ago today that I had my operation and started the cancer " journey" as they like to call it. Nice to be here in the sun and not the alternative...
