June 19th to Veendam NL
We are in the home of the Friesian cow so here is a picture of some.
We got a visit from the port police this morning but when I told them we would leave in half an hour they were fine about the fact that we had camped on the end of the official bays. About 10 campers were illegally parked.
It had been an interesting camp as we overlooked a lock that really long boats including a rhine cruise boat came through, plus yachts and working boats.
We drove through some really nice farm land, they build huge farmhouses where the front 1/10th is house then the roof changes and the back 9/10th is barn.
They have different roofing but they are one building. A lot of the buildings have a tile roof and a topping covering part of it of thatch.

We passed this office block all of glass must cook inside it on a hot day.

We drove to Veerdam another randomly chosen camp this one because it was on a lake and had showers.
Most amazing setting beside a lake that has swimming and water skiing on a wire.
We found the camp and it is a large field and we chose a position at one end all by ourselves. We avoided the middle as there would be way too much sunshine.
We went and watched the waterskiing for a while and I think I convinced P to have a go tomorrow.
Really hot evening then at 8.00 the thunder and lightning, really heavy storm hope our trees stay upright.
