St Guenole , 16 Sept
We finally got moving about lunch time, it was such a nice empty peaceful camp it was hard to leave. First stop was Pointe Du Raz. When we got there we discovered that the road ends at a barrier and you have to pay to go any further. E4.50 for entry unless we noticed you were in and out in under 30 minutes. so we legged it, up to see what was at the end ( didn't make it ) and P off to check out bunkers . We got back after 26 minutes and only know what we missed by looking it up on the web.
No wonder we didn't make it the car park was just out of Lescoff.
On the way again down the other side of the peninsular until we got to our park ( after tom tom tried to send us along another cycle path)
We are in Saint Guenole on the Pointe de Panmarc'h ( odd spelling with the ' )
It is a municipal stop and there were 29 of us here last night. The area is known for its surfing and rocks.
not much in the way of trees or gardens
cant be in the UK the life ring is still there
lots of unusual rock formations.
The after dinner we went and watched the sun fall into the sea.
Today we went on a bike ride around the coast to Penmarc'h and then when we got back we went to the white sand beach in the other direction. I swam for ages then P decided he wanted to and had to walk back to Reggie to get his togs.
the sand was lovely and white and the sea floor had no shell fish or stones or sea weed so it was lovely to swim in. Could have been warmer though the Atlantic isn't tropical warm.
poor mum looks rung out maybe time the huge baby left home
After we both had a lovely splash about we dried off and went to the beach café for a win, a beer and a crepe.
Staying still for tonight as we cant be bothered moving and we slept well with the sound of the waves.
