Rosaires, 4 Sept, Ploubazlanet, 5th Sept

Yesterday we stayed on a park on the sea side and it was a huge amount as sand as always,

but by dinner time it was waves smashing against the sea wall.  In both states there were people ( 90% female) doing the water walking thing .

and P did some beach side rowing  all of 3 minutes worth.

Today we visited the Abbaye de Beauport  ( and met a lovely robin, then headed to tonight's stop at Ploubazlanat, which if by the Isle-de-Brehet which we are getting a ferry over to tomorrow.

this is an off road motorhome, it could travel to the north pole

our new friend

the Abbey

water all out at sea

A place for me

missing the sea

this area could be used in a sci fi movie

This area has the highest tidal flow in France. When we walked down from the camp to have a look it looked like Mars all red rocks and not much water. Tonight it was full of water. Must be a nightmare for a new sailor to find his way about.

  1. That robin is gorgeous. We of course are in the home of the black robin - yesterday flew over the island where they were found on the brink of extinction.
Fancy a town named after you, I hope you will visit and claim special "droits de visitation"!
