St Come de Fresne, Gold Beach: 28 July

After a visit to the gold beach american museum we headed to St Come De Fresne and settled in for the day. We have an excellent park 50 mtrs from the sea behind a hedge.

We walked to the north before lunch and and I collected some shells to paint and we watched some kids on strange trike having races.

check out the names of the areas, all named after furniture.

they moved them by pushing their feet forward alternately left then right  very odd

After lunch we walked over the tops of the cliffs to the memorial and there were 40 motorhomes in a park up there ( a bit windy I would have thought).

these are made out of washers all stuck together

Arromanche,  in the afternoon is was high tide and you couldn't get round so we looked down from the cliff top ( the square concrete in the sea we could walk up to and touch after tea the tide goes out quickly and a long way)

Then dinner and a walk south along the beach to the town, the remains of a mulberry harbour and to watch the sun set into the sea.
