Lisieux: 23rd July

We started the day with a walk about the brocante ( second hand) market that has settled in the square by our camp. A load of old tat really  nothing that I wanted to squeeze into reggie to take away.

We then headed to Lisieux and parked by the basilica dedicated to St Theresa

The basilica was started in 1929 and consecrated in 1951 and is very modern inside very 1930 painting such a change for most churches.

When the designs were submitted they thought is was too small for the worlds most popular saint... ( I hadn't heard of her ). Doesn't seem to small if you check the photos it is huge..

Fabulous colours.

Then lunch and off to the farm we are staying at tonight.
