Goodbye Scandinavia hello EU
view when we woke up
After lunch and mucking about we headed to the ferry port, Telleborg, to get a ferry to Poland then cross the border into Germany.
It was heavy rain at the port as well but we managed to buy tickets and find the right ship and board it with huge trucks loaded on all round little reggie.

We had a look around and it was a working boat so only driver cafe and drivers washroom.
Everyone got a cabin and after the smell of sausage made us think they got a sausage in a bun for tea every thing went quiet.
I guess they were sleeping , showering or just hanging out in their rooms.
We spent the 6 hours reading sleeping and playing solitaire and zombie killing games....
I was a novelty on board I only saw two other women one looked like someones mum in head scarf long skirt and very hunched over like a hard working peasant, and the only other one was on the only other motorhome on board, she looked as out of place as me.
We got the call and headed down to the deck where P maneuvered amongst the trucks all very organised with men in fluro vests and whistles.
We arrived at 11 pm and it was very dark so we followed a truck hoping it would lead up out of the port. Reggie took over and sent us down a very rough road that was like patchwork.
We had arrived in Poland but the border with Germany was only about 15 km and yet another tiny ferry ride so we headed off.
It was very dark and no street lights so it was a novelty as we only travel in daytime. We crossed the border , nothing there but a sign about speed limits and then went looking for somewhere to stay the night. We tried a car park place ... couldn't find it after driving around suburban streets, tried a camp drovall all round it a midnight and it was full, after 30 mins or so we saw a sign with a wohnen on it ( as they call them here) so we stopped there the night. I think the sign said we could only be there between 8 am and 8 pm but it was midnight and we needed to sleep.
We got up early and headed off, the sun was shining and the road easy. we are on the coast between
Swinoujscie in Poland where we docked and Pennenmunde
it is the Baltic sea coast and there are hotels and resorts all the way up.

We headed to the camp and got a premium spot out of the sea breeze and in the sun.
We are between and old boat and a wooden deck thing so no one can park near us.
our duvet and washed floor mat having a airing
our neighbour
we sat in the sun ate breakfast and did not much for 3 hours.
This afternoon we went on a minibus tour of the Peenemunde rocket testing site
info site
It was all over grown now but you could get the scale of it. They developed V1 and V2 rockets for WW2 and then the same scientists went to the USA after the war and developed the apollo 11 space rockets.
Then back to camp and lunch then a walk around the wharf and area in front of the camp. There is a russian submarine so we went inside that, what a horrible cramped space it was.
so much cabling
brum brum
cruise missiles and lots more weapons on board.
