Copenhagen 24th and 25th wth the night in Sweden

We made it to Copenhagen stopping at the beach the night before and then getting the train into town. It was quite a shock being amongst so many people.

Lots of huge buildings.

Tivoli gardens the worlds oldest amusement park

We did a tour of the old Palace and had a guided tour of the reception rooms where they have state dinners it had the most amazing tapestries all modern designs and colours.
the Queens library where they meet foreign dignitaries

We had to wear little blue plastic booties which looked funny as we all shuffled about.

Also the kitchen with lots of huge copper pots.

Then the stable and the carriage collection.

We walked around the waterfront where it was like all the photos you see of Copenhagen and the tourist boats squashed full of people and more queueing.

They swim in the harbour which seems odd after living in London , no one would swim in  the Tames without a wet suit. They have bathing areas all along the waterfront and people were sunbathing and diving in.

Today we parked in town and walked around a citadel and then visited the Little Mermaid,

lots of people taking turns to get their photos done. A lot of chinese tourists in Copenhagen  and signs in chinese so they must be marketing to them to come over in tour groups.

We went to an architecture display which was amazing ll these huge new buildings all over the world and they had a models and pictures.  There was a virtual reality activity where you put a head set on the walked a plank through the atrium window which broke and then the plank  went out over the atrium and if you stepped off at 3 stories high you would float to the ground. P and I both tried but our brains wouldn't let us step off the plank even though we knew it wasn't real.

We visited the palace that the royal family live in  ( a different palace to yesterdays one) and the church is the image of St Paul's in London

After more exploring we finally headed off leaving Denmark behind heading over the tunnel bridge.

The one that the body in The Bridge TV series was found on.

and now we are in Sweden
The campsite must have at least 100 motorhomes in the marina, we were lucky the manager was there and found us a really nice spot up the back by the beach and on new lawn. We only got it as we dont need electric. Two more squeezed into gaps along the road and no more space at all. Sadly we are seeing motorhomes arrive even now at 11.00pm and there is no where at all for them.

We had a lovely long shower after the heat of the last two days it was most welcome.

We went for a walk along the beach area and though the vans and one had a cat in a harness and long lead, I assume it travels with them.

And a beautiful sunset to welcome us.

So we will start explore a new country tomorrow.
