Amal 30th July

Finally left the camp as did everyone else as it started raining in the night and no one likes camping in the rain.

I heard thumps in the night and thought it was pine cones ( little ones as I couldn't see any on the ground) it wasn't until tonight that I found a really large caterpillar on the ceiling vent, I think they were being blown out of the tree and dropping on the van. The one one I found has now travelled 100km without having to crawl.

We spent 2 and a half hours wandering around a huge shopping centre while P had a new back wheel put on his bike and we did manage to buy a protective bike cover to keep the rain and dust of the two bikes on the back.

At our afternoon tea stop we came across people sleeping in hammocks slung between the trees.
Quite noisy by the road but there was also a man sleeping in their car so it was quite crowded. The car was from Albania so I guess they had been travelling a while to be sleeping at 3 in the afternoon.

They have an unusual system for making a turn across the two lanes they have a small loop road.

We are now on the edge of Sweden's largest lake ( and 3rd largest lake in Europe ) the Vaenern and camping with a view.

a rather unusual mural.
